Dr Davies Lanjesi

Davies is a result orientated Malawian individual with both local and international experience working in fast paced environments dealing with a diverse client base with sometimes conflicting expectations.
He has worked at various positions for thirty-two (32) years that include nearly ten (10) years working in South Africa for BP Africa. His various roles accorded him opportunity to travel and work in many countries including United Kingdom, Singapore, Dubai, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa among others. He has held senior management positions since 1999 to date..

Team leader: Kumbukani Phiri
Kumbukani Phiri started working for World Education Bantwana 2012 as a consultant looking at how to develop a youth empowerment program that would empower adolescent girls and young women and adolescent boys and young men.
The aim was to empower them economically so that they are less vulnerable when making sexual and reproductive health choices. They did an initial pilot in 2012 and he began training and working with a team for the next 11 years up to 2023 constantly learning and seeking to improve the model. The model that was developed is now called SIYAKHA ( It means " We are Building" in Ndebele..

Paul Guta, Financial Director

An accomplished Business Leader, Entrepreneur and a Business Investor in the Agri-Tourism Sector who also comes as an Experienced Bank CEO, Industry Leader and Director with Banking Sector Leadership Experience spanning over 17yrs after having enjoyed a successful career in the Oil Industry in Malawi for 7Yrs. He has accumulated a total of 24yrs of Colourful Career Experience over his shoulders, rising to the Helm of Corporate Leadership including membership and Chairmanship of a number of Boards in Malawi over this time span.

John Nthakomwa

As the former Managing Director, and now Executive Director of
Mibawa Limited, John Nthakomwa has an unconventional
background for someone who has reinvented the entertainment
industry in Malawi. Nthakomwa’s formal expertise are in Information
Systems and Project Management. He worked as an expatriate for
Mobil Oil, ExxonMobil and Total Energies as an Information Systems
Application Specialist and Information Systems Project Manager.
Nthakomwa was leading projects in various countries in Africa and
Europe for seventeen years before retiring to Malawi in 2012 to set-
up his own business; Mibawa Limited. Mibawa Limited is the
umbrella organization under which are the following subsidiaries:
Mibawa Televison (a private national televsion channel), Mibawa
Studios (A multimedia production company that is also the local live
football production partner for the Football Association of Malawi, COSAFA, CAF and FIFA).

Wilkins Mijiga

Wilkins George Mijiga is an astute Banker, a consumate Systems thinker, an avid innovator and a creativity nerd. He is 53 years old.
Trained as an Economist at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College where he graduated in 1993; his three decades career traverses three industry leaders in banking, beverages and food and culinary.
He currently heads the Client Coverage Division of Malawi's largest and leading financial institution, the National Bank of Malawi plc. where his career has included being Head of Strategy, Marketing and Corporate Affairs as well as Chief Marketing Officer.
Wilkins has a passion for strategic leadership and currently Chairs the Malawi Post Corporation.

Mwaba

My name is Mwaba Chintu, Zambian by birth. I was raised in Kitwe, Copperbelt
Province, Zambia. After secondary School, I moved to
Johannesburg were I studied a Diploma I Business Administration, then a Bachelor in
Accounts Degree. God blessed me with business opportunities in South Africa, Botswana, Mo-
zambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
I have always had Interests to help vulnerable people from all walks of life.
I’m proud to be part of AfricaFood as we strive together to make our beloved African
continent food sufficient as well as initiating more food exports, less food imports.
